Emily & Darren were married this summer in the beautiful country town of Eccleshall in Staffordshire. Their ceremony took place at All Saints Church, and their reception just round the corner at Eccleshall Castle.
The day felt like a relaxed party as opposed to a wedding from the moment I arrived in the morning until the celebrations late on in the evening. I started by taking photographs of Emily, her bridesmaids and family at their home, before heading over the All Saints Church in Eccleshall for the ceremony.
Straight after the wedding ceremony we went to the beautiful grounds of Eccleshall Castle. Emily and Darren had set out a Tipi, with wooden benches and animal pelts. Champagne and canapé‘s were handed out whilst I started taking group portraits.
The catering deserves an extra special mention as the menu and prep before the wedding was all arranged by Darren, the groom, who is a professional chef. The only course not made by Darren were the fish and chips, supplied by the local chippy in Eccleshall!
As the sun went down we managed to sneak away for another few minutes to take some pictures in a nearby field, and around the castle grounds before the first dance and some toasting of marshmallows on a little bonfire in the tipi.
It was such a fun day to capture, and I’m so pleased with how the pictures turned out. Emily and Darren were both an absolute pleasure to work with, and I wish them both the very best for the future. Thanks also to Corina Pickering for second shooting for me.
