Olivia + James' relaxed and rustic wedding, with a ceremony at St Chad's in Hanmer, and reception at willington lodge, both in shropshire - will fuller photography
In September last year I headed over to Shropshire to join Olivia & James for their wedding day at Willington Lodge. Bridal preparation took place in the beautiful cottages at the wedding venue, and groom prep was at the nearby Macdonald Hill Valley Hotel, in Whitchurch, where James was surprised with a Porsche to get himself over to the church.
The ceremony was very touching, and St Chad's offered some beautiful light for the pictures. Olivia & James left the church to a big confetti line, and we went straight from there to take a few portraits by the lake in the village, before making our way back to Willington Lodge.
The marquee had been decorated beautifully, and there was plenty going on to keep all the guests entertained until the meal. Croquet, a football table, a saxophonist, and hammerschlagen (a drinking game which involves hammers and nails, and may be a new personal favourite of mine!) were just a few of the highlights. I took Olivia & James off for a few more portraits in the nearby lanes and the grounds of Willington Lodge before the speeches, which were hilarious and emotional in equal measure.
After the meal a lot more fun and games were had, including a karaoke photo booth and glitter face painting. The celebrations kicked off with a great band, which made for some awesome dancing pictures, and a lot of audience participation! Late into the evening Olivia & James headed back outside with their guests for some sparklers, which was a good ending of the wedding photography for the day. Enjoy looking through their pictures!
