EVE + TOM’S IDYLLIC COUNTRYSIDE WEDDING IN THE HILLS OF DORSET, AT KINGSTON COUNTRY COURTYARD - WILL FULLER PHOTOGRAPHY
On a boiling hot summers day in June I joined Eve and Tom for their incredible wedding day at Kingston Country Courtyard, near Corfe Castle. The day for me started early in the morning, when I joined Tom and his friends down on the beach in Swanage for some pictures in the sea. After a quick pit stop for a seriously unhealthy amount of pastries for breakfast we headed up to Kingston Country Courtyard, where we joined Eve and her family and friends.
Their ceremony took place outdoors in the beautiful wooded lower courtyard of the venue, with some really touching, personal vows. Eve and Tom left the ceremony to a shower of confetti, before starting the drinks reception in one of the upper gardens. Trees gave us plenty of shade, which made taking pictures in the hot summer sun a lot easier.
The upper barn was dressed in a delicate and understated way, which really matched well with the feel of the building. Light floods in from a huge glass door which helped create some of my favourite speech photographs yet. Guests were invited to pop their own champagne corks and pour their own drinks, which I thought was a brilliant way to start the wedding breakfast, and made for some awesome pictures.
Afterwards we whisked Eve and Tom off to some nearby fields to take a few more portraits in the golden sunlight, whilst everyone else went back out into the gardens to enjoy the warm summers evening.
The celebrations kicked off with the Newfangled Jesters, who got everyone up and dancing straight away. They were by far one of my favourite wedding bands that I’ve ever seen! The dance floor was packed from the moment that Eve and Tom ushered everyone else to join them after the first dance. Including the brides dad in his local football teams kit, which was given as a funny gift during the speeches.
Later on in the evening I noticed a beautiful twilight sky just after sunset, so took the opportunity to take the couple out for just a few more portraits and I’m so pleased I did, as they turned out to be some of my favourites from the day.
Thanks so much to Eve and Tom for inviting us along to photograph their amazing wedding. Thank you also to Charlotte Rawles Photography for second shooting. Enjoy the pictures!
