The Oak Barn, Frame Farm wedding venue in Kent

I’ve been lucky enough to photograph at The Oak Barn, Frame Farm since pretty much their beginning, capturing one of their very first big weddings, and have loved it as a venue since then.

The owners, Tim & Deana, and all the staff have always been so welcoming and accommodating. And offer so much more flexibility with how you plan and structure your day compared to more traditional wedding venues.

If you are conscious of having a slightly more environmentally friendly wedding, The Oak Barn, Frame Farm is a fantastic choice too; they put a real emphasis on sustainability, and even plant a tree for every wedding they host!

And being only an hour from London makes it a great option if you’re looking for a countryside escape for your wedding day.

Wedding Photography at The Oak Barn, Frame Farm

Time is so precious on a wedding day. Everyone will tell you that it absolutely flies by, and it’s true. So I am all about making sure that the time we use for portraits and group pictures is kept as quick and efficient as possible, as I fully understand that those aren’t the most fun parts of the day for the majority of people!

The Oak Barn, Frame Farm makes this really easy for us. Every part of the venue has a large variety of picturesque spots so that you can get an amazing set of photos, without having to go too far out of the way at all.

The valley seems perfectly aligned for the best sunsets, and on some days where we have had literally only 5 minutes spare for pictures, just a quick loop around their pond has created more than enough great portraits so that you can get straight back to the celebrations.

And if you do want to set a bit more time aside for pictures then there are so many options, including going for a walk in the field and under the huge oak trees, which looks incredible throughout the seasons of the year.

The Oak Barn, Frame Farm gives you a wonderful choice of accommodation for your preparations before the wedding.

Various options are available for your ceremony, including in their beautifully restored Grade II listed timber frame barn, or on the terrace with views out onto the pond, which is always buzzing with life in the summer.

You really have the flexibility of how you use the space, and what areas you want to make the most use of. Recently I’ve seen a few couples opting to do speeches after the meal, during cocktail hour on the terrace, whilst the sun sets. It’s made for such lovely moments.

Confetti and sparklers are super simple to organise, as the venue has loads of wide-open paved outdoor space.

The Oak Barn, Frame Farm uses a variety of caterers and all that I have worked with have been amazing, so you even have a large choice when it comes to the type of food you serve.
